Who Are We?

The Proxyma-B Quintet, started in 2024, strives for musical excellence through collaboration, hard work, and, on occasion, being quite silly. The group consists of Ellie Colson - Flute, Kaitlyn Nohara - Bb Clarinet, Cavan McCullough - Saxophone, Kaitlyn Rosling - Bass Clarinet, and Phillip Aleshire - Bassoon.

Primarily performing contemporary music, the quintet has worked with and performed music from composers such as Remi Inari, Michael Gilbertson, and Abdo Timejardine-Zomeno. 

Through the 2025-2026 concert season, Proxyma-B will be participating in a fellowship with CompassREsonance in Boulder, CO as well as doing outreach concerts, competing in national chamber competitions, and raising money for other future projects.
